Something twisted happens to US
when we have a cabinet full
of sugar and missiles
and too much peace
why let such delicacies go to waste?
So much money spent stocking the pantry,
why not make a cake?
Use the torpedoes before their expiration dates!
Launch them to where they grow figs and grapes.
it’s not an offensive, it’s a defensive
and it’s all for the glory of God, of course.
Almost every adult takes the ring
of power eventually
Except the children
who never grow up.
Maybe that’s why
they are the first to die
(Yet the ones who do grow
will remember and multiply)
War is a weed
we must rip out by roots
before it spreads and spreads
and spreads and spreads
and s p r e a d s
to satisfy the few who reap
spoils and offer no sacrifice
